As you look at the picture of the family in the upper left corner of this site, you see a family looking off in the distance.  Maybe they are thinking about the beautiful sunset.  Maybe they are pondering a change in life like a move, new career, or the challenges of children growing up.  But perhaps they are wondering as a family what they are here on earth to do.

Many individuals and families come to a point in life where they realize there has to be more to life than what they are experiencing.  More to life than accumilating material possessions.  More to life than superficial friends who only like you when they need you.  More to life than working a job, coming home, and closing the garage door behind them never to see anyone again until the next day at work.  What people are longing for is relationships.  Relationships with their Creator and with people who love them for who they are.

Here at Pathfinders Church, our vision is to be a church where people are growing in their relationships with God and with each other.  Our vision can be summarized in the statement below.

Pathfinders Church will be a community of Christ-followers who value cooperation with one another, compassionate service to our neighborhoods, creativity in how we share Jesus, and changed lives that display character.

This vision statement captures our six core values of change, character, community, compassion,cooperation, and creativity.  We don't want to be a boring church enslaved to tradition and control.  We desire to be led by God in this ministry and all people are welcome, no matter who they are or what they have done.

We are a baptist church that is part of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV).  We cooperate with other baptist churches state-wide and world-wide in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.  We invite you to come and join us in our worship services and in our home groups that meet throughout Virginia Beach.
