Pathfinders Church was started by a small group of people who shared three convictions.  First, that all people need purpose in life.  Purpose can only be found through a personal relationship with God.  Since God is our Creator, He created us for a purpose.

Second, that all people need direction to live out their purpose.  That direction must be absolute and can be found in God's words, the bible.  God gave us the direction we need in the bible and that direction is critical for living our purpose.

Third, that only God's Church has the God's message of hope.  No social agency, government group, or business has the message that we can live our God given purpose.  Only God's Church can hear and understand God to bring His message.  God's Church is critical for people living out their purpose.

So this small group of people began meeting together in late July of 2004.  We prayed for God to reveal to us if  He wanted us to begin a new church.  After several weeks of praying together in each other's homes, God gave us a consensus to begin a new church.

Pathfinders had it's first worship service on Labor Day weekend at a public park.  It was a simple service of prayer, singing, and a message.  We ate together and played games all afternoon.  The following Sunday we began meeting in a pottery store offered to us by two gracious couples who own the business.  We are active in our home groups and ministry teams seeking to proclaim God's path for people's everyday lives.
